Yep! They sure do. The tray is made from a super smooth plastic to give you the most suction compatible surface possible. We just suggest making sure the tray is ultra-dry first to increase its stickiness.

Not necessarily. The tray provides extra support for young babies but our high chair has been designed to be fully adjustable so that it should fit most dining tables. If you would prefer you can just use the chair at the family table instead.

You will need the Original High Chair Safety Bar in order to use the Original High Chair Tray.

This depends on the age of your child. To ensure the safety of your child, all children under 3 years of age must use the Original High Chair Harness when seated in the Original Wooden High Chair. If you are buying the Bundle, the Original High Chair Harness is included. If you are buying the Original Wooden High Chair only, the Original High Chair Harness can be purchased separately here.

If you are buying the Bundle, the Original High Chair Safety Bar is included. If you are buying the Original Wooden High Chair only, the Original High Chair Safety Bar can be purchased separately here.

You will need the safety bar in order to use the Original High Chair Tray.

Please believe us when we tell you -  you. do. not. want. this. Padding for the seat is just another thing you would have to clean (and we are trying to make your life easier remember?), and your child doesn’t really need it. We do have the Original High Chair Cushionavailable though which features a waterproof, removable cover for super easy cleaning.

Probably not, sorry. Unless your bench is fairly low, it’s likely the high chair won’t be high enough for your child to reach properly. We have designed the high chair to be fully adjustable so that it should suit most dining tables.

    The weight rating is 50kg.

Your baby will love sitting in our high chair, with support, from about 4 months of age. Current guidelines suggest starting solids at around 6 months of age, but your baby can start learning about mealtimes as soon as they can sit with support.

As long as it is comfortable! When your toddler starts to resist being put into the high chair, you can consider transitioning to the chair without the tray. Your toddler can learn to independently climb into and out of the chair once you remove the bar and tray. There isn't a set age to transition though, it depends on your child - their physical skills, their size and their temperament. Some kids will need to be kept strapped in for longer than others to keep them safe. For some kids they're ready as young as 18 months but for others it will be later.

Our chair comes with a weight rating of 50kg and is designed to grow with your child to always provide the best sitting position for them while they eat. We understand there comes a time when a child no longer wants to sit in a high chair, so when that day comes you can fight back the tears and pack it away.

There are several things that make our chair different to any other on the market. Every part of it has been designed with the help of a Paediatric dietitian and whilst we think it looks pretty darn good (and we hope you agree) our focus has always been about creating the perfect sitting position for your baby or toddler so that they’re comfortable, leading to a better and longer mealtime experience. Nothing worse than spending an hour making dinner for them and then in one minute the spaghetti’s on the floor. More often than not, this is because they’re uncomfortable; read Dr Kyla’s blog about optimal posture here.

While the chair only comes in a beautiful natural timber finish at this stage, we are hoping to add other colours and finishes soon. Subscribe to our email list here to find out when it happens.

Ever sat on a bar stool where your feet don’t reach the cross bar? How long did you sit before you started wiggling trying to get comfortable or before the pins and needles set in? The same is true for our kids. If their feet aren’t supported properly, they feel less stable and less comfortable, so they’re more likely to be distracted from eating and less likely to sit for very long. You can read more about how important good posture is here.

    Assembly & Care

Wondering how to take care of your products to keep them in the best possible condition? See our Assembly and Care page for more.

Original Wooden High Chair – To clean your Original Wooden High Chair wipe it down with a damp cloth using mild detergent and wipe completely dry immediately. Residual moisture or harsh household chemicals may damage the varnish or blemish the timber.

Original High Chair Harness – Clean the harness straps using a damp cloth and mild detergent. For those big spills where wiping is not going to cut it, the Original High Chair Harness can be removed and machine-washed in a delicates bag on a cold, gentle cycle. Lie flat in shade to dry. DO NOT tumble dry.

Original High Chair Cushion Cover - Wipe using a damp cloth and mild detergent and allow to dry completely before use. Probably! To keep shipping costs low for you, we pack our bigger items as flat packs which will require assembly when it arrives. The instructions will be in the box, but if they are missing (or your kid used them for their latest art project and now they’re illegible) you can find an online version here

You can download a copy of our assembly instructions or watch a video of us putting it together on our Assembly and Care page here.

YES! While hand washing is recommended you can put the highchair tray in the dishwasher if you prefer. Top rack only though please! Please see the Assembly and Care page for more details.

Ideally, any liquid or food residue should be cleaned up after every use. But this is where reality comes in; you’re busy and the kids have moved on to the next thing already and you’re left still trying to clean up. So after every meal just do a quick wipe up of the spills, this is particularly important for anything that’s fallen onto the timber to prevent any blemishes or stains. Then once a week do a proper deep clean to remove any remaining residue. Further details on the care instructions for each of our products can be found on our Assembly and Care page.

The clever design of the tray’s size and position, when partnered with the high chair’s total footprint means it’s harder for the food to get on any other part of the chair apart from the tray. Meaning when your child drops some food, it either lands on the tray or on the floor. The tray can also be removed using one hand to be washed by hand in the sink or put in the dishwasher (or like in our house, chucked on the bench and forgotten about until the next meal). The harness can also be removed easily to making cleaning simpler.
